Entropy
A downloadable game

Entropy is a real-time ecosystem simulation inspired by microbiology, flocking behavior, and cellular automata. You cannot control individual cells. Instead, influence the ecosystem by introducing various microbes into a microscopic environment.
The game begins with a small colony of autonomous cells that move, gather, reproduce, and respond to nearby microbes based on simple behavioral rules. Every new microbe introduced, changes the balance of the ecosystem, leading to unexpected interactions and emergent behaviors.

Keep the ecosystem alive by maintaining a healthy balance between growth and predation. Prevent monoculture, avoid overpopulation, and stop the ecosystem from collapsing. Success comes from understanding how different organisms interact and making thoughtful interventions at the right time.

Rather than explaining every mechanic, players are encouraged to experiment and observe. Through trial and error, discover how each microbes affects the ecosystem, rewarding curiosity, pattern recognition, and systems thinking.
